I love This location of Mexico restaurant so much. Great people working there and the food is awesome. Especially the queso 😋

The waitress was okay... Not smiling and happy which is what I prefer but she was okay... The food was pretty good. I had the Mexico burrito which was good. The salsa was good. They are the rush type of resturant. I would come back but not a place I'd think about... If I pass it I may stop.

Always a fast lunch at a great price. Food is tasty and Hot.

The Forest Hill location is great for Taco Tuesday. Great service and good food at a reasonable price.

Service was amazing. Social distancing they enforced. Clean and enjoyed the patio with a breeze.

I really don't understand why this place has such high reviews, unless those people have never eaten at another Mexican restaurant in their entire life. Maybe it was better in the past, but when I went, the food had absolutely no flavor to it (despite the chicken in my enchiladas being moist), the margaritas had barely any tequila in it, and our server could care less about us even being there. It was bad enough for me to never want to go back there. I've never had Mexican that was that bland in my life. I wouldn't waste my money there again.

Don’t care for Mexican food. I was invited so I tried to make the best of it. The staff was nice.

Wonderful meal on Taco Tuesday, not too crowded had a group seated in the back room that had an awesome collection of Frida art♥️

This is a shame I have been going here for 10 years and every time I turn around it’s an up charge. I ask for the same white sauce they have been giving away for the last 10 years and I have an up charge as take out. I could have order another item for the price. They will give buckets of this stuff for free if you eat in.....

Fast, friendly service. Good and plentiful food.

Ordered sizzling chicken and shrimp to go and got home and was charged for steak and shrimp. Didn't have the sauce that goes over the meal. Didn't get extra cheese that I ordered.

Food was delicious and service was fast. Salsa was good. Ambience was nice.

People need to be more friendly

This restaurant has the BEST MEXICAN FOOD I have ever tasted 💯 They have many different items on the menu to choose from and when you get there they greet you with warm tortilla chips and a selection of different dips , from a traditional Mexican white creamy cheese with special spices to the traditional guacamole ( my favorite!!!!)The staff there are so polite and helpful and friendly and they speak both English and Spanish! I recommend this place to everyone including if they want to bring young children! They have high chairs if you need them . They also have a bar away from the tables and serve delicious Margaritas along side other drinks ! I had a great experience and can't wait to visit again 😊

Food was good and the service was good. Just good, nothing was wrong however nothing was special either.

Food as always was good. Unfortunately, the service was served with a side of attitude. The waitress took the ordeer, someone else delivered the food, the waitress came back and gave us the check. Never was asked if we wanted refills on drinks or wanted desert.

Excellent again! Awesome service...fast and efficient. Excellent Mexican food! (We're told it has a Central Mexican taste.) Dos Equis Amber, tall, is the bomb on a hot Virginia day! Nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating available but it was too hot on the day we visited.

Mexico Restaurant was okay. I had nachos that had way more meat than cheese. The chips were just soggy at the bottom of a stack of huge ground beef chunks, a tiny bit of cheese and tons of lettuce and roughly diced tomato. The salsa also seemed a bit over salted. The service was mostly friendly. It was just okay.

Ordered pickup, received great customer service, food was delicious and packed nicely. This is our new go-to for Mexican.

Fast service, friendly staff, clean restaurant. Pretty much everything you expect from a Mexican restaurant. I've gone a few times and very quickly the staff remembers you and will always say hi. All of the food I've had here has been great and I also enjoy their weekly specials.

Our server was enchanting. The other guests we were all celebrating. I sang happy birthday and in this social distancing having an beautiful lady hold my hand was true love. Being able to See other JMU dukes and talk of college lore, It was pure and true it was honest. The hot food was and the cold food was cold. Our guest created confusion, but Staff never stop being charming! Lovely restaurant team orientated staff. I endorse this beautiful place.

I love their lunch specials! Very quick and good food for cheap! I am giving it a four star because during slower hours, they are really slow and not very attentive with service. It's ironic because during lunch rush hours, their service is so quick and attentive!

The food is delicious and you can tell by tasting that it's made to order and fresh. Vegetables in dishes are not an afterthought here as is common in Mexican restaraunts that are geared towards American tastes. I'm no vegetarian , but the peppers and the onions in the fajitas are done so well I could skip the meat. I also urge you to try the chicken soup. Homemade and tastes a little differentbeach time like the chicken soup your mom made. Even a veggie hater would love this soup. The staff is also polite when you practice your bad Spanish.

I Liked it.. I had the Steak Mom had the Chicken.. Lunch time we was hungry.. food was good I waitress was great where we sat could have been better other than that Mexico on Forest Hill home run got the job done... Thank you... I'll come back

Big menu with really reasonable prices! Yes, hey have alcoholic drinks! JUMBO margaritas included! Steak 'street tacos' were very, very good. Well seasoned beef! Service got slightly slow despite being great before that. Also, very weird encounter paying at the counter with the young gentleman. He asked if we got Skittles. We had not. He seemed very confused and it took my wife pointing out "we are just trying to pay the bill with exact change" for him to understand what transaction we were trying to achieve. Otherwise, really great!

The waitress was amazing. We got the rice and chicken, the combo burritos, the taco special, and the ceviche. The rice and chicken was cooked well. The combo burritos were one chicken and one beef. They were cooked well and a reasonable size. The ceviche was good but needed more brightness. The waitress brought extra limes and that was good. Overall the restaurant was really good Tex Mex family style.

With alot of places having their limitations it can be challenging to find somewhere that you can kick back and just feel like it was before the storm hit. They have the patio that's very accommodating and let's get straight to the food. I ordered the ribeye shrimp and steak and Mexican potatoes. When I tell you they deliver, THEY DELIVER (taste that is). The food comes out sizzling. The peppers are cooked to perfection, the steak it cooked just like I like it, well done but not burnt with plenty of juice and flavor. We're not going to mention the drinks and getting a bang for every buck, even down to the cost of the food. With times been financially challenging this place is the spot. My meal only cost $20! Yes $20 for shrimp, ribeye steak smothered in peppers and onions and potatoes. Oh and yes you get complementary chips and dip. Oh and the seafood burrito was amazing as well! My son ordered that and you know I had to try it. Try this place out and tell me I'm wrong.

The staff was so friendly. I sometimes have a hard time pronouncing a word and they help. The place was clean and plenty of space to sit. I ordered the fajitas texanas(SP) and it was the absolute best. More food than I can eat in one sitting, so I took it home for later. Everything was delicious 😋.

At Mexico Restaurant the the food is always great and the meals are always hot and correct as ordered. Also, the waiters and waitresses are truly some of the best in the RVA area.

I went there today and order the DINNER Steak California Burrito and the Chicken Toulca Bowl. The steak was falling out of the burrito as well as the Chicken Toulca Bowl. The meat was was moist and Delicious. While the portions were huge. Lastly, the curb side Waitress, she was, polite, courteous and kind. I eat here offend but, today I was just blown away and had to write a review. Sorry, I didn't take a picture. Thank You Mexico may, your food continue to be extraordinary!

Don't ask for anything on the side because they will either leave it off or mix it in.I waited 5 weeks for this meal, thanks for ruining my Saturday night!If I wanted it mixed together I would have ordered it that way

Great food at good prices plus they have a nice outdoor patio.

Got take out. People were friendly. Food was decent. Would have given 5 stars, but they got my order wrong: chicken enchiladas when I ordered cheese enchiladas. Not a big deal, and I'll probably be back.Edit:Went back for dollar tacos on Tuesday. Had a great time. Staff is super nice. Beef tacos were very good. They easily accommodated our party with 4 adults and 3 young children.

Don’t ever ask for cheese from here they will not give it to you! I asked multiple times for some on my food and never got it! Oh and the employees are very rude and don’t seem to care for there customers!

Delicious food and wonderful service! We have become regulars of this restaurant because of the tasty food, great happy hour, and the amazing staff! We have had nothing but great experiences here. The fajitas are great and big enough to split. Always ask for the white sauce to go with your chips and salsa!
